5. Intellectual Property and Portfolio Use

1. About this policy

This policy explains who owns the creative work, what rights the client receives, whether source files are included, and how AmberBlush may display completed work.

2. Ownership before final payment

AmberBlush retains ownership and control of the work (including sketches, drafts, and final designs) until the project has been paid in full and final files have been delivered. You may not publish or use unfinished work without written permission.

3. Rights the client receives

After full payment and final delivery, you receive a commercial licence to use the final deliverables listed in your quote.

The licence is:

• Worldwide and perpetual.
• For print and digital use (books, ebooks, websites, social media, advertising, author promotion, and book-related merchandise like bookmarks/posters).
• Non-exclusive (unless exclusivity is purchased separately).

4. What is not included

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, you may not:

• Resell the artwork as a standalone asset or stock art.
• Transfer the licence to another person or business.
• Use the artwork for a different, unrelated book or project.
• Use the work to train an AI model or upload it to generative-AI tools.

5. Source files

Source files (vector, layered Photoshop, Procreate, etc.) are not included by default. Standard delivery includes final JPG/PNG, print-ready PDFs, and web-optimized files. Source files may be purchased as an add-on if available for your project.

6. Portfolio use and confidentiality

AmberBlush may display completed work on our website, social media, and design directories. We will not reveal confidential plot details or unpublished character information.

Unpublished projects: If your book is unpublished, we will not display the work before your public announcement unless you give written permission.

Full confidentiality: If you do not want AmberBlush to display the work at any time, you may request full confidentiality. This may be available as a paid add-on and must be requested before the project is confirmed.

7. Credit

You are not required to credit AmberBlush on your book cover or promotional materials unless your quote specifies otherwise. If you wish to provide credit, you may use:

(or Cover illustration by HB Illustration Studio, etc.)

8. Third-party assets and AI

AmberBlush may use licensed stock images or fonts. We will inform you if an extended license is required.

AI Policy: AmberBlush does not use AI-generated artwork. The delivered work may not be used to train AI models or create AI variations. If you provide AI-generated material, tell us before work begins; we may decline to include it.
